ZUNA SOLAR SUNSET INSTALL

THE PROCESS

PROVIDING THE SOLAR EXPERIENCE YOU DESERVE.

submit application

We have partnered with various financial institutions that allow us to offer solar at no upfront cost to qualifying homeowners. We have to submit an application on your behalf to make sure you meet their respective requirements.

energy savings review

First, we’ll collect your home’s electrical usage history from your utility bill and enter it into our software. We’ll also obtain estimated measurements of your roof and home's sun exposure from satellite imagery. Using your usage history and measurements of your roof, we’ll be able to create a preliminary solar design that is customized to meet your energy needs while maximizing production and savings. This review will give us a good idea of how much money you could save by switching to solar.

We’ll send a qualified technician to your home to obtain actual measurements of your roof, take pictures of your electrical set up and other elements of your roof and home to verify that our preliminary design is accurate and ensure that your roof and electrical system is in good condition in preparation for installation.

utility & permit approvals

Prior to installing any solar system, we must obtain applicable city and/or county permits, approval from your utility company, and receive approval from your Homeowners’ Association (HOA), if applicable. Every utility company, city, county, and HOA is different, so approval times vary, but it typically takes 4-6 weeks to obtain these approvals. Once all approvals are obtained, we will schedule your solar installation.

SYSTEM INSTALLATION

system inspection

Once the solar system is fully installed, we will schedule the official inspection of your system by the city or county. An inspector will come to your home to inspect all components of the solar system to make sure it was installed in accordance with all applicable code and matches the issued permit. The inspection typically occurs within 2-4 weeks of installation, depending on the schedule of the local jurisdiction
